TFB’s Photo Of The Day is on a mission to collect high-quality photos from the world of firearms, and today we have U.S. Marines with Marine Forces Command (MARFORCOM) as they move through obscuration. They’re conducting Military Operations in Urbanized Terrain (MOUT) training during exercise Intrepid Maven 23.3 in the United Arab Emirates, on May 19, 2023.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a country located in the Middle East, on the eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the west and south, and Oman to the east and northeast. The UAE is a federation of seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah. Abu Dhabi serves as the capital city of the UAE.

U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Abraham Cala with Marine Forces Command (MARFORCOM), simulates being a part of an opposition force.

Intrepid Maven 23.3 is a Task Force 51/5-led bilateral exercise between MARCENT and the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces designed to improve interoperability, strengthen partner-nation relationships in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility and improve both individual and bilateral unit readiness.
