The Century Arms BFT47 – who could have imagined that all-American-made AKs would ever be a thing? Well, here it is, with a bulged and forged 4140 steel front trunnion, a carburized 4140 steel bolt and a 16” 1:10 chrome-moly 4150 steel barrel.

Delray Beach, Fla. –– The people asked for it and Century Arms has delivered! Introducing the all new BFT47 AK rifle! This All-American made rifle directly answers the requests of the American consumer with the addition of new features and components to the already dependable Century Arms platform. The name of the platform pays respect to the foundation of this rifle, a bulged and forged trunnion. This new flagship rifle of Century Arms is truly the culmination of American engineering at its finest!

The BFT47 was designed with the purpose of being a reliable, durable, and accurate AK at a price point the blue collar American can afford. With a Bulged and Forged 4140 steel front trunnion, a carburized 4140 steel bolt, 1.5 mm heat treated stamped 4130 steel receiver, manganese phosphate finish, and 16” 1:10 chrome-moly 4150 steel barrel, this rifle is designed to operate under stress with all commercially available ammo on the market. Simply put, this rifle is designed from the trunnion out to “Just Keep Going!”

The first version of the BFT47 to come to market will be the “Core” version featuring American hardwood furniture and coming in at an MSRP of $829.99. Additional models will be available in a price point line known as the “Essential” and a high end version to include optics and other accessories known as the “Enhanced.” All BFT47 rifles are backed by Century Arms’ limited lifetime warranty. “This is an exciting launch for Century Arms” said National Marketing Director Adam Ruonala. “For many years we have been the leader in AK sales in the US, we have taken that experience as well as the feedback from our millions of customers around the world and developed a rifle that we are confident will deliver in even the toughest of circumstances!” The BFT rifles have shipped from the facility and can be found now in retailers across the country!

    polytech pre 1988 was the way to go. It was a milled receiver with wood furniture.
    3 30 round magazines, the pig sticker, cleaning rod and cleaning kit inside the butt, all for 325 back in 1988.

    Put me down for 2 of em. One stays stock the other gets modified, hogue grip,milspec tube and magpul ctr stock and zhukov formed. Safty replaced with one that seals the receiver. It's about time someone made a proper akm
