Wolff Gunsprings Now Selling Galil Magazine Springs
There is finally a good way to freshen up a tired Galil magazine. Wolff Gunsprings is now selling replacement Galil magazine springs for both the standard 35-round and extended 50-round models. These new springs also add 5% more power than standard springs for reliable feeding.
Frontier Armory Galil Modernization Kits
Frontier Armory, an importer of African and European gun parts, has announced two new modernization packages for the original Galil, the Kudu and the Oryx. These kits add additional rail space and other improvements to facilitate use with optics and accessories. Both kits will be available for the longer gas system of the standard (or R4) rifle, or the shorter SAR (R5) carbine.

For South Africa's Denel Land Systems, the Defense Business Is Booming – Factories Pulling Double Shifts
The South African state-owned defense conglomerate Denel Land Systems has recently experienced a large rise in sales which have maxed out its production facilities, African defense website DefenceWeb reports. According to DefenceWeb’s article, most of the increase in recent sales have been from small lot sales to the Middle East.

While spending some time at Gunsite earlier this month, Phil and I were able to spend some time on the range with the Remington R4-Entry, also known as the R4-Enhanced. We fired from fairly close range at just 25 yards away from paper targets – even moving closer at one point for some video time – and I have to say, as always, there’s not much in gun life more fun than select fire.
