Bear Creek Arsenal has just launched their new 10mm and .45ACP rifles and pistols as an extension to their side-charging blowback action, which is an evolution of the AR-15 pattern. These new Bear Creek Arsenal rifles and pistols utilize Glock pattern magazines, and unlike the bufferless 9mm versions, the new 10mm and .45s will use a buffered system to reduce felt recoil. Bear Creek Arsenal's New BC-15 17HMR Billet Upper Receiver
The .17HMR is one of my favorite rimfire calibers. The hot 17 caliber rimfire cartridge is both supremely accurate, and light recoiling making it a good step up from .22LR in terms of both inherent accuracy and range. Bear Creek Arsenal is following up the success of their .22WMR AR-15 upper with the release of the new BC-15 17HMR Billet Upper Receiver to give rimfire enthusiasts access to yet another popular rimfire cartridge that they can plink, hunt, or target shoot with by simply slapping it on an AR-15 lower receiver.

Gas piston systems offer AR-15 owners a few different advantages over the traditional direct impingement systems that the AR-15 was designed with. Chief among those advantages is less heat stress on the bolt carrier group and reduced cleaning intervals. If you’re looking for a different flavor of AR-15, then you’ll be interested to hear that Bear Creek Arsenal has just released their new GPx gas piston complete upper for AR-15 rifles. This new gas piston upper features a standard 16″ parkerized M4 barrel and comes with an adjustable gas block to allow you to tune your rifle to any environmental or ammunition situation.
Review: Bravo Concealment OWB Kydex Holster Combo
Bravo Concealment reached out to Phil at the start of December to see if we wanted to put one of their Kydex outside the waistband holsters to the test. As the Senior Breaker-Of-Things, I was elected as the most likely to break or damage the holster during what I consider “normal” use and was sent one of Bravo Concealment’s BCA holster combos. Thankfully Bravo allowed me to configure the holster as I wanted to match my Glock …. or what it is on a journey to becoming.
