POTD: Special NATO Edition: CZ BREN 2 Ms

Top of the morning and welcome to our Photo Of The Day! TFB recently wrote about the New CZ BREN 2 Ms – NATO Limited Edition, an article that got quite a lot of attention. But there was one photo that wasn’t included for some reason, and it’s the one above with the BREN 2 Ms on top of the NATO and Czech Republic combination flag.

CZ presents a special limited edition of the CZ BREN 2 Ms rifle that celebrates this year’s 25th anniversary of the Czech Republic’s accession to NATO. Only 25 of these unique firearms will be produced.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization was founded on 4 April 1949. It consists of 32 countries today, 30 of which are European and 2 North American. The basic mission of this organization is to protect the freedom and security of all its members by political and military means, in accordance with the principles of the UN Charter. The aim of the organization is to create just and lasting peace within Europe, based on the common values of democracy, human rights and the rule of law.

The Czech Republic became a member of NATO exactly 25 years ago – on 12 March 1999.

CZ decided to commemorate this milestone in the development of the Czech Republic with an exclusive, limited edition of the CZ BREN 2 Ms semi-automatic rifle, chambered in 223 Rem. and coming with an 11” barrel. It is based on the same design as the CZ BREN 2 semi-automatic rifles in the armament of the Czech Army. The service version of this rifle has served, and continues to serve, on foreign missions within NATO countries.

The anniversary edition of CZ BREN 2 Ms rifle will consist of only 25 units, for which a unique series of serial numbers has been reserved. These unique firearms will be equipped with duralumin controls, an enlarged charging handle, a long forend with extended gas tube regulator and a G.I.S. linear compensator. They will be marked with the date of the Czech Republic’s accession to NATO and the names of Alliance operations in which Czech soldiers participated. All units of this special edition will come with a special color combination.

All CZ BREN 2 Ms rifles for the 25th anniversary of the Czech Republic’s accession to NATO will be equipped with a wide range of accessories and supplied with a SPUHR RDF 20225K mount with Aimpoint T2 red dot sight and an Aimpoint magnification module.
