If you are a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield owner – whether yours is optics-ready or not – the Galco Corvus Belt Slide/Inside-the-Waistband (IWB) holster is yet another option for concealed carry advocates. This new fit offered from Galco works with original M&P Shield pistols as well as the newer M2.0 options and even the Shield Plus.

Galco Coverage @ TFB:

Galco Corvus Belt/IWB Holster (SKU: CVS652RB) fits the following guns: Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 3″ 9mm/.40 S&W & M2.0 9mm/.40 S&W, M&P Shield 9mm/.40 S&W Loaded Chamber Indicator, M&P Shield 9mm/.40 S&W with and/or without Red Dot, M&P Shield Plus, M&P Shield Plus with and/or without Red Dot

The Galco Corvus, like many of Galco’s holsters, utilizes form-fit Kydex, adjustability for a more comfortable fit, and the dual utility to be deployed as a belt or IWB holster. The complete listing of specifications and features for the Galco Corvus can be read below as presented by Galco:

  • Kydex construction
  • Adjustable cant and ride height (varying depending on pistol size)
  • Forward molded design
  • Raised sweat guard to protect pistol and wearer

Packaged set up for belt carry, the Corvus is swiftly and easily convertible to a highly concealable IWB holster.

The Corvus comes complete with belt slots in both 1 ½” and 1 ¾” widths, as well as straps for conversion to inside the waistband carry. The modern layout is designed to accommodate most carry-style optical sights, while the deep sight rail accommodates most suppressor-height sights.

With the Corvus, the serious gun carrier gets two fast, concealable holsters in one.

In my mind, the Smith & Wesson Shield family of handguns has gotten outpaced by its competitors in “cool factor” for aesthetic, fancy features, but that does not mean the S&W Shield (in all of its variants) is not a good option for concealed carry. Reliable, moderate capacity, and now even more holster options courtesy of the Galco Corvus. As always, let us know all of your thoughts about the Galco Corvus in the Comments below! We always appreciate your feedback.
