HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Hundred Dolla Bills or Hundred Dollar Skills?

Welcome everyone to the 196th edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this Gat a sweet deal or only have Fudd appeal? Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

In our last edition, our poll showed that you, the readers, decided the Chameleon Robinson XCR was a hot gat.

In this week’s edition of HGFC, we look at a very custom Glock 23 chambered in .40 Smith & Wesson. As is tradition, this hydro-dipped gat is currently up for sale on GunBroker for a $1,750 Starting Bid or $2,500 Buy It Now.

This one of a kind Glock comes to you in a custom Italian Negrini case, featuring combination locks and leather trim. The gun itself has 24K gold plating on the slide, barrel and slide release. This gun reaffirms the fact that this series will always be relevant. From time to time I’m forced to consider the idea that the well of weird/terrible/interesting firearms might eventually dry up. Then something like this pops up on GunBroker, and of course, the seller is from Florida. I’m not trying to stereotype, these things just fall into place all by themselves. I’m now forced to consider the “But Why?” factor while also considering any redeeming factors guns like these once have. So to that end, at least it’s still a Glock? So while I may not agree with the finish, it’s probably still reliable.
