SIG SAUER has announced a new model coming to their CROSS bolt-action series, the CROSS STX.

SIG SAUER first introduced their CROSS rifle in 2020. The original AICS-fed CROSS bolt-action is available in .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .277 Fury with either a 16″ or 18″ barrel length. Since releasing the original, SIG has also come out with a PRS model which takes the barrel length up to 24″. Now they’ve announced a new addition to the series, called the CROSS STX. This newest model takes a middle ground in terms of barrel length, measuring 20″, and offers some other differentiating features such as a full-length 20 MOA top Picatinny rail and an SLH/SLX suppressor-ready QD flash hider. Get further details in the official CROSS STX product description copied below.

This newest addition to SIG’s CROSS series should be heading to dealers and distributors soon. What do you think of it, readers? Does the new STX model fill a gap in the CROSS lineup? Or does it not differentiate itself enough for you to deem it warranted? What components and features do you like or dislike about it? Are there any changes or additions you’d like to see? Any added calibers, possibly? Have you shot any of the existing CROSS models, and if so, how did you like those? Please feel free to let us know your thoughts in the comments below. See you at the range!

Say hello to the next US sniper rifle. SIG doesn't have the contract for that yet, but they will, eventually, somehow.

A very interesting rifle. How come it was not offered in .338 LM/NM?

@Đurić Predrag Those are magnum cartridges, the cross's other calibers are short action. It would be 2 steps up in action size to offer LM or NM.
