MDT Sporting Goods probably have the largest and most diverse line of bolt action rifle chassis and stocks in the industry and they never stop developing new products. The latest addition to their catalog is the CRBN Rifle Stock. Made of carbon fiber with integrated magnesium V-block bedding chassis and foam-filled stock and forearm, the MDT CRBN stock is designed to be very lightweight yet extremely robust.

MDT @ TFB:

“Crafted from foam-filled carbon fiber, the MDT CRBN Rifle Stock is both incredibly lightweight and durable. This means you can maneuver through rough terrain on long hunts without feeling weighed down, while also trusting that your stock will withstand harsh conditions and heavy use.”

The foam filling of the buttstock and forearm is advertised to mitigate the felt recoil and absorb harmonic vibrations, resulting in a "dead-feeling gun". The CRBN stock also has a rather wide forearm which also contributes to its rigidity. The forearm is compatible with a variety of barrel profiles all the way to the Proof Research Sendero profile which is 1.2” thick.

The cheekpiece of the MDT CRBN stock is quick adjustable. The length of pull can be adjusted from 12.75" to 13.75” via 1/4” spacers. The pistol grip has a 20-degree angle, integrated thumb shelves, and along with the forearm, a stippling-like texture on the sides. At the bottom of the forearm, there is a full-length ARCA rail with three M-LOK slots. For attaching slings there are QD sling swivel sockets on either side of the very front portion of the forearm and rear of the buttstock.

MDT CRBN Rifle Stock is available with two AICS magazine-compatible bottom metal options called Hunting and Precision. The former is a low-profile bottom metal with a lockable magazine latch. The Precision bottom metal has an extended and flared magazine well with an integrated barricade stop and adjustable magazine latch.

The MDT CRBN Rifle Stock is a drop in product. Currently, it is available for Remington 700 SA barreled action as well as its clones and other actions of this footprint (Weatherby Model 307, Bergara B14/B14R, etc.). The overall length of this new MDT stock is 31.25”. The forend length is 12.5”. The overall weight is 27oz without a bottom metal and 30 or 31 oz with the Hunting or Precision bottom metals installed. The MDT CRBN Rifle Stock is available in black carbon fiber or Hunter Blaze and Woodland camouflage options.

The MSRP of the MDT CRBN Rifle Stock with no bottom metal is $1,299.95. The addition of Precision or Hunting bottom metals will increase the price by $279.95 and $299.95 respectively.
